[PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene/Teflon) is an opaque ultra-flexible material. PMFK (polymethyformamide) is a transparent semi-rigid material. However, when put under stress, PMFK becomes opaque. In addition, Bioplast can be heat sterilised at temperatures only below 120 C ... that is below autoclave normal operationg temperatures

Clearly the Best, BioFlex ®, is ultra-light (much lighter than PTFE or PTFK) and retains its flexibility and transparency making it the most suitable material for use in fresh and healed piercings.
