Can I use the balls from a metal bar on BioFlex ®?

As long as the body piercing jewellery balls are threaded to standard guages (1mm, 1.2mm and 1.6mm), then YES!

At least one ball should be easily removed from the metal shaft.

However, with some metal jewelry you may fint that only one ball will remove easily from the metal bar. Even with these though, you may find you will be able to unscrew both ends .... but you may need to use some force on the one end (careful, you don't want to damage the ball). Some manufacturers (NOT Europierce) weld the ball at the fixed end.

So if you want to use the balls from your existing body piercing jewellery, it could take 2 metal barbells to make 1 BioFlex barbell. That is one of the reasons we supply some BioFlex bars formed at one end (ball, dome, labret, Hide-it).

Titanium and Steel bananas are usually designed so that only the top ball is removable! Don't even think about removing the bottom ball ... you might damage the ball, or even destroy the jewel. We offer a range of coloured and plain transparent BioFlex jewelled bananas.

In any event, there are many other good reasons for starting with a BioFlex barbell or bananabell.
